 Damascus the Capital in the south, Aleppo comes second in the north, Homs & Hama come third in the middle ,and Latakia.  Other important cities: Tartous, Hasaka, Darr`a.

  Friday is the official holiday in Syria, but Sunday may be the holiday for Archeological sites , and museums are closed on Tuesdays.
